Florida homeowners are already known for paying some of the highest premiums in the country, and that is once again being reinforced with some recent data being released by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) and the Insurance Information Institute.
Florida managed to earn second place as the state with the highest premiums, bested only by the state of Louisiana, which is also prone to dealing with severe weather conditions. According to the data, the bulk of homeowners’ insurance companies in the state also have less than favorable reviews among their customers, with the average score hovering around three out of five stars. The majority of these reviews mention a less than ideal claims experience and pricey premiums as the reason for the low ratings.
Considering how expensive insurance premiums are, you deserve to receive the money you need to take care of damages based on the terms of your policy. If you’re having trouble dealing with your insurance company over a claim, please contact us.
